I caught this Muley chasing does last Sunday afternoon. I just got him on video first thinking that I wasn't going to shoot him as I have been after a very nice whitetail. However after driving down the road and thinking about the few days I have left to hunt this year I decided I would see if I could bed him down and put the sneak on him. When I got back to where I had seen him they had all bedded down in some CRP grass. I snuck within about 40 yards and stuck him low and back too far. He walked very slowly about 1.5 miles before bedding again. I layed in the weeds about 100 yards away from him for nearly 2 hours before he finally gave me the opportunity to sneak in on him again. This time he was in really noisy weeds making it difficult to crawl. I took my chances on him being asleep or close to dead and tiptoed up to about 40 yards from him. He slowly stood up and I sent an arrow UNDER him. I couldn't believe it. Luckily he only went another 10 yards and I put one through his lungs dropping him in his tracks. He's no monster but I had a great day hunting him and I've almost got the meat all processed.
