Tonight, I hosted a father/daughter hunt. I decided to sit in another stand since it was only them two out here. My feeder went off at 5:00pm and, no joke, my hunt was over at 5:09pm. A group of about 10 hogs came in with some real nice boars in the group. I picked out a sow in the 100 pound range that looked a little drawn down so I decided she would meet her doom tonight. She turned and gave me that perfect quartering away shot. I drew back, settled the pin and touched off. She ran less than 20 yards and gave up the ghost. I was well pleased to say the least. Then I called my wife to come take pics and she brought my son, two nieces and a nephew and two kids that belong to a buddy of mine. THe kids were in total awe as I did the skinning. I hope y'all like the pics. THe father/daughter saw two huge boars but were looking for a smaller hog. They also reported a big bodied spike still in velvet. Looks like I have a target for October!!!
