    Right place, wrong timing.

This morning while waking up at 4 am, I just knew it was gonna be a great hunt. I drive up to my lease get all my stuff on and head out on a short walk to the tripod. The hanging feeder is almost empty and the extra corn on the ground gone and lots of scrapes and signs of activity. I get up in the stand ready to go. About 20 minutes later a big bodied 10 point at least 140 walks under me and hits the feeder and eats some corn. All of the sudden he looks up the tree line and then bolts, conveniently 15 minutes before shooting time. I stayed a while longer but ants started climbing up the stand and tearing me up. I left soon after and am anxious to get back monday and try and get him.
