I just wanted to put a couple of pics of my buddy with his 1st bow kill ever. A nice 8 point from out by San Angelo. He saw alot of deer during the hunt. He had a big 10 Friday night but wouldn't come in. Sat morning he saw alot of does and a 8" spike. Sat night he had a smaller 8 that he finally got to let a arrow fly at. His first shot ever at a deer with a bow. He said it was hard to stop shaking and the arrow sailed over his back.
He said the rush was unbelievable. Sunday morning he had the spike back, some more does and then the spike left the feeder in a hurry. In came a nice 8 and the big 10. He had told his friend, that invited him to the lease, about the big 10 Friday and the guy said that was the biggest buck anyone had seen on the place. My buddy passed on the big 10 and took the 8.
Nice shoot at 20yds. About 5 - 10 minutes later while he was still trying to get over the rush the big 10 comes back and keeps him in the stand for about 20 more minutes. He texted his friend that he had shot a 8 and on the way over to pick him up and start tracking his friend saw it laying about 20yds out in the food plot. He had ran about 55 yds after the shot.
