This old girl and her merry band of followers have boogered several bucks that have been trying to come in to some hand thrown corn in a couple places. I've actually missed her twice so far this year before daylight when she and I and my peep and sight couldn't all get together but she made the mistake of coming in at shooting light Saturday morning. I took my time and put a Magnus four blade stinger in her heart. Arrow stuck in the ground as she turned to run and snapped it off.
She'll be much more appreciated in a tamale than she was in the mesquite flats of San Saba County.
