First Buck of the year! First time Bow Hunting!

So my cousin talked me into Bow hunting this year, it’s been awhile since I have even shot a bow. But I shot for a couple weeks before opening weekend. It seems its like riding a bike and I had a nice grouping. I was ready to go. Well opening morning I seen 4 yearlings about 50 yards out couldn’t get a shot. That night I didn’t see a thing, so on Sunday morning I was just about to come down at 10:30 and here comes this buck charging in toward me. He kind of surprised me. He was only 8 feet in front of my tree so I had an easy shot on him. First shot dropped him!!!! I am so Hooked!!!! I have the Fever! Here are a few pics. Yes He was expired before I took the last picture.

I thought these tasteless pictures had been removed. You should've given this magnificent animal some respect and shot a second arrow to keep him from suffering. Pictures like these only fuel animal rights activists even more. How shameful.

It took me three years to kill something with my bow. Congrats. Clean kills will come with experience.

Looks to me like he shot him more than once. looks like 2 in the neck and the one further back. But it does look like his head is up and trying to go forward.

Congrats on the buck. But might try a different pic next time because it does look bad. Clean him up and then stage with you and bow in the pic.

Ummm.... It doesn't take experience to kill a buck before you take pics of him suffering!!!! Thats just sick, and shows no respect for the animal, IMO! Weren't these removed already once???

Just lookin at the shadows he still appears to be fighting the inevitable. There's a reason you ring the necks of fowl before taking pictures as well. Just not humane.

Alright, I did not see the pic's before they were removed. But maybe he just got to excited at the fact that he shot the deer and was not thinking clearly. If it was alive he should have finished him off before pic's but adrenalin does things to our minds.
Give him a little bit of a break won't ya
