'Luddeke' Slick Tricks First Bow Buck

Headed out to the stand yesterday evening and got all settled in around 5:05 p.m. A little later than we would have liked to but seem to have worked out. I am after a really large 130 p&y 9 point and so I have set up our tree stands so one person can film and the other can hunt but I made an adjust yesterday so both people can hunt. I was in the 'filming' seat and Kelsey, 'Luddeke' on here, was in the driver seat. We had a lot of deer circling the feeder all evening and had the big 9 come in but would not present a shot for me. About 15 minutes left of shooting time here come this almost 5 point technically 3 point cull buck I have been watching well before the season. He is 2 1/2 and doesn't have the rack that other 2 1/2 year old deer here have so I put him on the hit list. He came in very cautious and milled around the feeder. I clicked the camera on and he was ranged at 22 yards. Kelsey drew back but he turned his butt towards us and she let down. A couple of minutes go by and he is fixing to step out so Kels draws and waits for the front leg to extend. He steps forward, camera rolling, both of us breathing heavy, and RELEASE! They arrow hits a little back from its mark but I was confident it got liver and possibly lung. We only waited a few minutes due to the fact it was getting dark and got down to find the arrow. No arrow so we replay the video and see what trail the deer took. After close inspection we found GOOD blood and followed it only 80 yards and found him piled up in some cedar trees. No pass thru but definitely got liver and lung. An exciting evening none the less and it was 'Luddeke's' first bow buck and hopefully with plenty more season left it will not be her last of the year. Thanks for looking! Will try to post video when I get it from tape to computer not sure how to do that yet.

Congrats Sweetheart! I am proud of you and love you!

Thats my Girl ! Well i don't any daughters, but i have my boys girlfriends. Does that count? So proud of her just the same. Also think her guide ain't too shabby either. Could there be some new folks on "The Crush"? lol Told her my opinion about bowhunting, "If it was easy, anyone could do it." Not much skill in chunking lead. Now the pressure is on us men. "DO WORK"
