        The guide said he was probably close to 800 pounds. Another guy from Michigan killed a 5x5 two days later and it looked half the size of the elk I killed. Here is another one with him on the ground. I was told that Roosevelts don't get the massive antlers of a Rocky Mountain Elk but their bodies are much larger.

              Congrats on the bull. Were you hunting in the tioga unit? That brings back lots of memories of hunting the coast range. I love it in that thick brush. Let me look and see what I can dig up about guides back home and if anyones interested pm me.

                I know I heard that name so that may have been it. I killed the elk in Dynamite Creek or Crick if you are from Oregon. Maybe that will give you an idea as to where I was hunting. The one I stuck last year but didn't kill was in Tioga Creek I do remember.

                            Yah that's got to be the area. Here is a bull from this year around that same area.
