I just got back home from a VERY enjoyable Scimitar Horned Oryx hunt.
I'll try to get some photos up in the next day or so. I got to take along my 6 year old son. He had fun, and was the official tracker once I let an arrow go.
If we could have video taped the hunt, I think a lot of folks would be extremely surprised at the immediate damage a plain jane Muzzy three blade broadhead does. There may be a reason these heads refuse to fade away. It put my Oryx in the dirt hard! Guide said he saw blood jet out of the entry side a good two feet. Clean pass through, double lung hit. I would not call what was on the ground a blood trail; more like a blood path or road. The bull started a death circle and piled up about 50 yards from where that Muzzy buried into the rocky hillside. Quick tape on the horns showed a little over 41" per side with good mass. Possible #5 in the world SCI. We'll see.
Still smiling here, and hope to get some pics up soon.
