    Texas Panhandle hunting

I know many of ya'll hunt in the southern parts of the state but I was wondering if any of ya'll hunt up this direction and where?

I'm new to bowhunting but have been hunting with rifles most of my life.

Any suggestions from those hunting in this area?

I hunt a couple of places near Silverton and Quitaque. Some great Mule deer live over in those areas, as well as a few nice White Tails. Good luck, and welcome.

Gene Howe is a pretty good place for public hunting. It is done by draw hunts but you might be able to get on standby.

We hunt in Wheeler County. Lots of WT and we have a Mulie Tag this year.

A couple of buddies and myself usually head up there once a year for a hunt in Hartley County. One year it was for antelope, last year it was for pheasant. This year it might be a whitetail/pheasant hunt, but I'm not sure yet.
