    My baby is finally home!!

This is the buck from my avatar - I finally have my mount home. Shot him in Dec of 2008 at about 21 yds w/ my SQ2...posted the LDP's and story a year or more ago on here, but this is a better pic than what I had. Gross P&Y is just under 170...missed it by about 1/2 inch. I still want to try to get an official P&Y scorer to score him for me sometime.

Kevin at Heart O the Hills taxi in Kerrville did a great job for me!

My ol' lady would have been really ticked off. That "baby" would have been a life-sized full body mount standing right behind the couch. Please do not take that as anything negative as for how you chose to mount it, I simply meant that chances are I will never be fortunate enough to shoot, much less arrow a beast like that.

      Congratulations. Awesome deer.

it actually had been ready for a couple months...due to some other issues I had going on, I couldn't get by to pick him up until last week.

but yes, the taxi is very busy and everything i've ever given them has taken at least a year...but I like his work and his price is very reasonable. Not a big deal to me b/c I know the time-frame going in! (And I kept the antlers for close to a year, and gave them back to him before it came up in line to be worked on, so we weren't completely separated for that long!!)

here is another angle on him w/ a better camera. and "the arm" from the first pic is in this one as well! She couldn't stand it - had to be right there for any pics! She's going to be my little hunting partner before i know it!
