I just had to try some of this javi's backstrap grilled this weekend given all the mixed reviews I hear on their meat. I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually not too bad.

Jamie, that plot is just 50/50 wheat rye mix. Last year I bought an elaborate deer plot mix only to have no rain for the entire season, so this year wasn't real optimistic and decided to save money. Seems to have worked just fine if only we'd gotten a little more rain.
