Saturday morning I sat in one of my favorite stands, made from an old windmill base about 25' high, to see if I would have any luck.

Before I had enough light to shoot, an ugly, old spike came out and ate for about 5 minutes. When the daylight broke he spooked off before I could get a shot off.
I had activity behind my feeder for about 30 minutes with young does popping in and out. Finally 2 older does and a younger doe came to the feeder out from under my stand.
I took a shot, aiming for the exit hole, flew a pink arra, and my muzzy double-lunged her. She ran about 40 yards with a pretty significant blood trail.

As you can tell, I picked her because she has a jacked up nose, never seen anything like it before. Looked like it may have been broken in the past.
Meat in the freezer.
