I have spent the past 3 seasons watching this buck on our ranch in Jim Hogg county. My buddy Shane expressed serious interest in "Hooks" several years ago and has been after him ever since. After hundreds of game cam photos, and countless hours spent in the blind, my buddy Shane had never even caught a glimpse of this deer In fact, I was the only person to ever see him in person, but passed in hopes of Shane getting his first bow buck. "Hooks" has been a big 8 for the past several years, and in a drought year, decided to grow 10" and kick off a 9th point...go figure. Well after all the hard work, Shane was able to make a great quartering away shot Saturday morning, taking out a lung and the heart with a Rage 2 blade. Hooks ended up grossing 145 P&Y....heck of a first bow buck.
