Here is my buck from Monday night. A buddy of mine invited me to his place outside of San Angelo TX. I saw some awesome deer while I was there. I missed a 130ish" 9 point Sunday night. I redeemed myself Monday morning on a cull 3 point. Monday night I sat in the same blind I missed that 9 in hopes of him coming back. Well he never showed but a real cool and unique 9 point came in. I did not think I was going to get a shot. Every time he would come in to the feeder a huge 10 would run him off. Another deer stepped on a branch or something and he jumped, but he jumped right into my shooting lane. So this time I took my time and made sure everything was right. I did not want another miss under my belt. I settle my pin right behind his shoulder and let my arrow fly. I thought I hit him high and was a little worried about my shot. So I watched the video and was confident in my shot. We went and looked for my arrow and could not find it or any blood.I tell my buddy let go and come back in the morning and see if we can find him. I did not want to take a chance and push him. He said no lets keep looking, you mad a good shot. He said I think I see a white belly laying just down the hill, but I am not sure. So we start to walk that way and I could see horns. My second bow buck and biggest to date is on the ground. He scored 105 4/8 by TP&W big game awards score keeper.
Needless to say I slept in Tuesday morning and we went back out Tuesday afternoon. We sat on a different part of the ranch that afternoon. Man it was awesome, right after the feeder went off this freaky buck comes walking in. On one side he was a perfect 8 thick all the way up from base to tip, but on the other side it was about a 18" spike with a brow tine. Well guess what......... miss number 2 for the week. Wednesday morning we decided to go shoot a doe(my buddy wanted to take a deer to the processor) well........ miss number 3 for the week. I gave up and headed home to get ready for work Thursday morning.
