Whatasize(pintsize according to W-L-F)
Shot this nice double drop last night @ 6:45 pm. @ 15 yards. The arrow didnt have great blood and it stunk bad like guts
so we waiting about 1 1/2 hours before we wanted to track him. Had okay blood at first then great blood about 150 yards into the track(we thought he would of been right there no need for Brutus) then okay to decent for the next 300 plus yards.
After another 200 yards or so we decided to call it off till this morning. We thought we might have been jumping him. I had my jack russell Brutus in the truck and decided to let him try from the last spot of blood. He smelled it and licked it then took off down the creek and stopped about 20 yards after crossing the creek. More blood then off he went again another 20 or 30 yards more blood another 20 yards or so he found more blood. It was fresh so they wanted to call it off plus one of guys thought he might had seen it moving up ahead of us(it was 9:30 pm)....well 20 steps past where Brutus last found blood there he was this morning.... 142 & 5.5 years old..... Congrats Mike! The shot didnt look too bad, just a little further back than what you would want and the exit was like a heart shot!
He has been watching this buck all summer. Now its time for me to put you on a monster buck or two!
