    The JUDGE by Taurus

THIS IS AN AWESOME WEAPON! It shoots .410 shotgun shells and 45LC centerfire. I've shot it and it's amazing.

My uncle bought a Judge for both of us and I would like to find a good holster for him as a thank you.

I am looking for a fanny pack type holster. He likes to walk and jog around the ranch roads.

    Thanks.

This will be my next purchase for my conceal carry weapon. Heard a lot of good things about them and seen some awesome videos on Taurus website about the damage they inflict.

I would think long and hard about a Judge for a carry weapon, to me it is not feasible at all, it is just too big and heavy.

A carry weapon is one that you have on you all the time and to me a Judge does not fit that profile. I would have one strapped to my ATV or on my side while riding roads at the lease but not out in public.

There are too many fantastic, lightweight weapons for concealed carry with far more firepower(# of rounds).

Everything I had read at one time stated to buy the longer barrel not the orginal short barrel.

The Judge has a limited (but very interesting) usefulness. It is good from about 5 feet out as a self defense weapon and it is a good snake gun for the woods.

I would love to have one just to say that I did. It is a cool looking gun and I haven't yet decided to spend $500+ for the coolness. It is not a very good option for self defense or a concealed carry weapon however... IMO.

I like the judge. I think he's looking for a fanny pack holster like he said for his uncle. Not for insults on how someone doesn't like the sweet gun his uncle got him. Sometimes the people on here just love to be rude know it alls

                Gotta agree.
Like one reputable reviewer stated "It's fun to bust clays with this pistol"

And thats about all it should be used for if you have a choice.

I love mine, I bought it for a snake gun, ( did I say I hate snakes ). It was expensive, I got the 4 inch SS, came with a case and holster, I got to where I can hit a can at 15 to 20 feet with the .45LC and I am not a very good shot with a handgun. It is to bulky, IMO, for a carry weapon, Like said before there are way to many options for that. I have even tried hitting a dove with the .410 but I'm not that good yet. It is a fun gun to have if you want to spend that kind of $$$ for fun. I here they are coming out with one that will shoot the 3" shells, If they do and I got the $$$, I will have one of those too. Just my .02

I have one in the 3" chamber model and it is AWESOME on snakes! Can't remember how many rattlers i have killed with it but it defenitely does a number on them! I shoot the
3" #6 shot and it will shred them. I can't remember the name of the holster that i have for mine but it has a clip and a belt loop. Works out good because you don't have to take your belt off everytime you want to carry it.

MboltM, not sure a game warden would be to impressed with you shooting doves with it since you can't limit it to just 3 shots.

Good point Scout and to be honest I never thought of that, I was not dove hunting with it but working in the yard last year and thought I would try, I see now that could have been a bad decision. Thank you for pointing that out, I will have to try the clays

I have been wanting to try the same thing but you never know who's watching and it's not worth loosing it to me. So we just have to be content throwing water bottles up in the air and blasting them!

Sure would like to have a nice leather paddle holster for it if i could find one. Anyone know of any?

                            Judge this.

I put a couple 45 slugs in a running pig off the 4 wheeler this weekend but never found him.

The Judge may has a specific purpose that it's useful for, but there are much better choices for conceal carry. Have you actually held one? And as for the commercials, my 10mm will shred a watermelon just as well as the judge.

Nobody insulted the OP. He didn't even mention conceal carry. The people who did make comments about conceal carry were speaking more to SMUHunter. And in addition to that, they are correct in their statements. Sorry you took that as insulting.

To answer the OP's question, your best bety is to probably hit a local gun show so he can try out different options.
