Hogs don't generally like the intense heat so they'll be active mainly in the early morning and after dark if they have a choice. You might strongly consider not throwing at all in the afternoon/evening and just throw in the mornings for a while. Where I'm at they'll bed up near the feeder and lay around in the general vicinity, thus keeping the deer away. You almost have to put the stalk on them and run them off or they'll dominate the whole area. KAP
