    Strings

My son is needing a new string for the used Bear Truth he got. Should he go with a stock string or a custom one? Which brand to you like?

Some custom strings are not that expensive.

    I use Stone Mountain.

They made me exactly what I wanted and were quik!

I've used Zebra Barracuda and Vapor trail, both have worked flawless for me to this day.

Are you in a big hurry? If not, Bucknasty are the best for the price.

I have always shot a winner's choice on the Mathews. ZEB and CUD can never get the peep site to stay straight. Spend the money on a good string you will have less chance of problems while hunting.

IMHO, Winner's choice is almost twice the price for a string that's not one bit better. Well worth the wait. If his stings will last get BN.

I've had bucknasty strings in the past and they were great! If you can find a shop to put them on for you. I had two places tell me they wouldn't put them on since I didn't buy from them. I bought a bow press and learned how to do it myself. In the Houston area Scott at Viking archery makes a pretty good set as well and puts them and gets the bow in tune as well.
