    Autoflex Leasing

Anybody ever delt with these folks and done a lease through them? What is your feedback from dealing with them?

    #2
I've never dealt with them but they sure advertise the heck out of them in DFW. I can't do a lease as I put too many miles on a vehicle and it costs me in the long run. Good luck in your decision.

      Codie,
I have never delt with them, but have heard nothing but bad first hand accounts about leasing pertaining to miles and car condition at time of turn in. I'm certain some people can make it work but I would be worried if it didn't go like planned.
Here is a like to a finance guy I listen to, he is on a local station. It will give you an idea what has happened to one of his listeners. The numbers just don't look all that good when they are added up. He has great advise and not just about autos.
Good luck in your search for a new car.

I've never dealt with Autoflex, I lease my wife's vehicles through D&M Leasing and have had nothing but positive experiences. Most of the people that talk trash about leasing have no leasing experience or they let a dealer talk them into leasing through them and got raped. Never do a lease through a dealer. Leases are a lot different than they used to be. You can get unlimited mileage on a lease if you want it. Unless you just beat the hell out of your vehicles and trash them out condition at the end of the lease term is of no consequence. If you treat your vehicles badly you'll be no better off buying it as the resale will be gone regardless if you lease or purchase.

If you'd like my contact at D&M PM me and I'll get you his info. I've leased 4 vehicles from him and have been satisfied every single time. As long as you can come to terms that you will not own the vehicle at the end of your lease term, then leasing is a great alternative. I lease all of my wife's vehicles and she is always in a car that is dependable and in warranty. We lease for 3 years max.

Never used them. We used Transworld leasing for the Dodge Ram 3500 we currently drive. Richard Dillard was a breeze to work with. Granted we have only had the truck since last October, but the process was easy.

MEGA CAB Rocks! we had our two boys and two foster kids and we all fit just fine. Not that that matters to you, but I like the truck real well.

Codie, don't know about that company, but leasing cars is still going to cost your more in the longrun...renting versus owning.

Only if he plans on keeping the vehicle longer than about 3 years.

Codie, what vehicle are you looking at? Some vehicles are better lease candidates than others.

To me leasing is a temporary fix for an eventual long term problem.....As they advertise, it enables a person to get in a car they can't normally afford (short term) but nine times out of ten on a car they shouldn't have been driving anyway, it ends up costing them at the end of the term (long term problem).

If you have to lease to be able to afford what you want to drive, I'd suggest not doing it. If you are doing it for financial or business reasons, you better hope you can stay under the miles and not show any significant wear and tear because they will collect on it. Buddy dropped of an 4 door S-10 he leased. He was over mileage and had some scratches and some small wear and tear issues . They billed him for almost $4K after he turned it in. Vehicle looked good to me and mileage was about 15K over. Be careful......

Apparently your buddy was leasing from the wrong people. I have leased 4 vehicles through D&M and have never been hit with any fees whatsoever. My wife's 99 Mustang Cobra had body damage to it and it didn't cost me anything. Most of the time, they send these cars to auction, so the price they give you for it is set at the beginning of the lease. I suspect your buddy leased that S10 through the dealer which I will never do (again) and yes, they will rape you at the end of the lease.

If your buddy went 15k over his mileage, that's his fault, not the leasing company. They tell you very clearly up front what your mileage allowance is for the term of the lease. You should have a pretty good idea of what you drive in a year's time. With leases outside the dealership, you can buy as many miles as you want up front. Your monthly payment adjusts accordingly but I can assure you that it will still be cheaper than going over at the end.

Leases are great for some, and a nightmare for others. It really depends on each persons driving habits, the way they take care of there auto, tax purposes, how they finance (amount) , and what they choose to drive. Kinda like anything you buy, it depend on your individual needs.

Everybody who comes on here and talks about leases being bad and all typically have no experience with them. They just go by what their friend's cousin's uncle told him when he got bent over by either not reading the contract and following it or they had a lease 20 years ago, or they got screwed by a dealer. Leasing is not the same as it used to be. It is a very viable option, but is not for everyone.

This ain't my first rodeo dude. I'm just trying to give him feedback from the positive side. If you think leases suck don't lease a vehicle. I think Mathews bows suck, that's why I don't own one.

And as far as what was he supposed to do? Read your contract and follow it. If you can't do that don't lease.

Thanks Mike, As he he said Leasing from a leasing company and leasing from a dealership are two totally different ball games. You can lease a vehicle no matter what mileage or driving habits you have with a leasing company such as D&M or Autoflex. I am pretty educated on the actual leasing part of working with them, just wondering what anybodys customer service and in house service experiences were with them. I have not checked D&M Mike, I may give them a call and see what they can do. A lot of people never go a month of most of their life without a vehicle payment becuase they trade them in so often, that being me, so if I'm gonna have a vehicle that I know I won't end up owning then I might as well be paying $200 less per month for that vehicle until I trade it in for a new one.

That statement says it all right there and that's the reason I lease all of my wife's vehicles instead of buy them. I'd be curious to know how many people actually keep their vehicles long enough to pay them off.

If you need my contact at D&Ms number just PM me. I've been more than satisfied with him on the 4 vehicles that I have leased from him.

Just a thought buy a vehichle you can afford to pay off in 3 years. Then drive it another 7 years. After paying off the vehicle put that money into savings or invest with it. If your payment was $500 a month and 7 years later of saving you have $42,000 alone, before interest or if you use it to invest wisely it could be a lot more.

Some one showed me this before and I thought it was a pretty good idea. Of course if you know you just aren't going to do something like that I guess a lease might be ok.
