What would it be worth to you (Guided Eik Hunt)?????

Ok, here’s the deal. If money was not an issue what would a fully guided elk hunt be worth to you? We are talking a 300 class bull.

Lodging would be your choice you could stay in a nice three bedroom cabin with satellite TV. This would include a 30 minute drive to and from the cabin to the hunting grounds or you could choose to stay in a camper and hear elk bugling from camp and be within minutes from the hunting grounds.

Also included in the hunt would be good hot meals, elk packing, and skinning. In other words any reasonable accommodation would be met. Adult beverages would also be supplied and be plentiful in camp. The goal would be for the paying hunter to have a great time with no worries but hunting and pulling the trigger.

On a hunt like this any type of guarantee would be unfair due to the many variables that would come with such a hunt. You could say that the odds of a shot possibility would depend on how hard the hunter was willing to hunt. The guide would give absolute 100 % dedication to making the shot opportunity happen. In other words what I’m asking is if you provide a top notch hunting experience what would this type of hunt be worth?

I know this is kinda broad and there are several things I have not mentioned that would be included.

Let me know what yall think and any give me ideas on what else a paying hunter would be looking for in this hunt.

I'm thinking about doing some hunts in the future but want to make sure I do all my research and can provide an awesome experience. I want to run the best camp possible.

Well that one is tricky. Eventually you could get some landowner tags but that would bump the price up whatever the tag costs. And you probably know they arent cheap. What I have posted does not include the license, if that helps.

$3500-4000 for the hunt seems good
do you think would this keep me under $5K total for a license, tips, and shipping back cape, and maybe a Southwest flight?

3500- if you used this for your hunt price
Draw License- 547/ Landowner Tag- 2500
Flight- 350 depending where you fly from
                Shipping Cape- Not real sure

Total without cape shipping: Draw License= 4397 give or take
                Land Owner Tag = 6350

I think you might be able to pull it off under the right circumstances.

That sound like the hunt of a lifetime. I personally think that it would be worth 5000+ there are Texas deer hunt in some places that are almost that much.

I would not pay this, but I have sat next to several black jack players at the IOMG Casino that have and they have described their hunts. Very similar to what you depicted. I have seen some "world class" bulls on the Mescalero Reservation and they are for real. Ten years ago these same elk hunts were going for $7,500....now close to $15K. I'll admit I've thought about it but it's too rich for my blood....$5K maybe.

Yea, I'm real familiar with how they run their hunts. The only thing I couldn't offer is there quality of animals. Like you said there are tons of bruisers on the reservation and they get to manage it.

If you can offer references are licensed and insured then probably in the $3k-$3.5k range, maybe a little more depending on the quality of the lodging provided and the references you can supply. Also, on top of that there would be a possible 10-15% tip depending on how well (not to be mistaken with successful) the hunt went.
