    Keystone or Copper Mountain

I am thinking about buying 25% ownership of a place in either Keystone or Copper Mountain. What you guys tell me about the two places. We enjoy the Colorado summers just as much as the winters. I have talked to real estate agents but would like to hear any TBH thoughts. I love the Colorado golf/fishing scene in the summers, as well as other family activities. I would like to hear what anyone has to say.

    Thanks

I don't think you can go wrong with either place. Keystone would have one advantage when it comes to skiing. You can get a ski pass for Breck, Keystone and A basin. Both have pretty good fishing right there in town or just outside of town. I like keystone because it is a little off the Hwy. Copper is within ear shot of hwy 70. I'll think of more later. Gotta take the family to dinner

Keystone is easier skiing and had the first man-made snow machines in the area (a faux-paux by the developers as nearby Dillon Lake caused an atmospheric anomaly that affected snow-fall!)....Copper is more of a real skier place, Keystone more family oriented plus you are assured of snow as mentioned. Downside for Keystone, Breck, etc. at this time in history is the devastation from pine bark beetles that has reeked havoc with the forest...trees are all now permanently brown and dying...really sad...but in 40 years, the Aspen should take over again!

The pass for skiing the Summit would make Keystone more attractive. Also they have the summer bike runs along with Breckenridge, which is right down the road. My Choice KEYSTONE.

Agree with others about the Summit county pass - Keystone (night skiing), Breck (big place with great bars), A Basin (altitude and locals) and Vail (very cool but expensive). Keysone seems to be more family focused and has night skiing - BUT - for skiing I would pick Cooper Mountain over Keystone for great runs and big bowls in the back. Both are great places and you can't go wrong either way!
