    Top Quality Tripods?

I will be purchasing 10 or so new tripod stands. What brands are the most comfortable, quiet, etc. The ones I have seen are cheap and creak when you stand up or turn.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks, in advance.

The best I have ever seen are made by a guy from Nelsonville, TX (not far from Bellville). His dad was a blacksmith and he is a hunter who is skilled at building things.

I'm not sure what he has right now but you could call him at 979-865-5303. Tell him Doug from Sugar Land sent you.

    Good luck.

I looked at Real Bark for a stand and found that they make a cool tri-pod. You can get a couple different sizes with a roof and a skirt around it. Kinda expensive, but if I buy another tri-pod, it'll be one of the real Bark.

They are located in Henderson TX. www.realbark.com I'm not computer savy to get the link to work in this message just by clicking on it, bet there is the site.

The quad-pod is the one I like. Just my .2 cents

Dave, Tac-weld them and this will stop the creaking, you then can't take them apart but at least they can be used for deer/hog hunting.

also there's a company down your way, I think there called SOUTH TEXAS FEEDER AND TRIPODS? they make a few just don't look as sturdy as the woodsey too's which would be my preference.. ULTRAMATIC may sell stands also...
