    Lemon Law

Anyone ever filed suit using the lemon law or other federal warranty cases against a vehicle? What was your experience?

I haven't but my sister got GM to take her Bonneville back and replaced it with a Trailblazer. She is pretty hard headed though.

when I called out lemon law to the dealer they started working on a dealer buy back. It was still a pain in the butt. you might try that route and you don't have to get a lawyer

Your best bet is to get your dealer to work with the manufaturer on your behalf. If it even comes close to a true "lemon law" vehicle they should be more that willing to work with you. It cost both you and them more if you file under the lemon law. Not to mention they will usually work a swap deal using the state lemon law guidelines. I have done this for a hand full of customers over the years that had some real issues with thier vehicle. Remember the dealer needs to be your friend in this deal. A good dealer will have a good relationship with the manufaturer and they will listen.

That is what I am doing now. I took it to the dealer that I have bought my last several vehicles from, including this one, hoping that he will stand up for me. I can tell you they have gone out of their way to keep me a happy customer but I do realize it is not their fault. If they cant help me I already have a lemon law attorney that has commited to help me fight the case with no fee to me, well fee in settlement which leads me to believe I have a case. Dont get me wrong I am not usually this kind of person but I know what is right and wrong and this truck is wrong!

Not sure that matters, I was asking for personal experiences. There are alot of people that will twist this thread and I dont want that. I want to hear some experiences. I will tell you its a diesel with 59,700 miles.

I know it happens I have been in the business a long time and I have seen some bad ones. Like my wife says "vehicles aren't made in heaven". Keep working with your dealer. The Manufaturer has an incentive to settle this outside the state's lemon law. Good luck.

Just wondering I am kind of in the same situation. I filed with the Better business bureau and they said it was like 4 times in 12,000 miles in so many months, I think.

Has there been a single issue that keeps reoccurring? That is the quickest way to qualify under the state lemon law.
