Graduating College and in the middle of JOB Huntin

I'll be graduating from A&M in December and have been looking for jobs like crazy. I have some pretty interesting interviews scheduled for next semester. I'm just wondering if any of you guys know any people in the construction field that are hiring project managers or other similar positions? Thanks for the help

I know Construction Science hasn't slowed down that much
Make the career fairs, meet a ton of people, go to the AGC meetings and take all the interviews you can get.
I graduated in December. Good luck to you.

Clay if you can get your resume to the Army corp of engineers. Pm me and I will try to get the right info to ya as far as where to send the info. We have alot of stuff starting at 2 of the bases in San Antonio. Im a con rep for them and know they have atleast hired 2 new PM's in the last 2 months and think they were both from ATM.

Also look at Hensel Phelps in Austin. They are the lead constructor on several of our jobs. They might be hiring as well.

            Gov't jobs

Try this site if you want to become part of the problem.

Just think, you could tell all your college buddies and family, "I'm your tax dollars at work."

My son graduated from A & M this past spring with a degree in Construction Science and has had no luck with getting a job, he has sent a lot of resumes out but no interviews. Good luck to you, hopefully by the time you graduate the economy will be better and there will be more jobs out there.

My son will graduate from Cal State Chico in the CM program next spring (fingers crossed here). In 08, 100% of the graduating class had job offers when they walked. In 09, 50% had job offers- and many were not excited. But there are jobs out there.

You need to be networking your backside-off this last semester, the best way I'd suggest is through your professors to meet people in companies NOW, to position yourself ahead of the competition in December. It's a tough thing to accept, but your classmates and friends are competing for the same job you'll want to get.

Network, network, network. Set a goal of meeting 1 new senior person in the construction industry per week this fall semester.

                Git 'r done.

In my son's case, he does not want a PM job, and is framing custom houses summers and during the school year with 1 builder where he goes to college.
