Need a little help. My better half has had chronic migraines for about three years now. I mean she literally has had a migraine for three years, all day all night everyday. We have been to numerous doctors, tried every thing we know of and nothing. Her quality off life has gone to the crapper. I just dont know how much more she can take. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this, take care all.

a buddy of mine that I've hunted with for over 20 years has suffered from chronic migranes also. He went to numerous different doctors. His last diagnosis which was almost 2 years ago was that he was allergic to brewers yeast. I know it sounds strange and may not be the same trigger that's effecting your better half. He doesn't drink beer anymore, doesn't eat bread, pretty much anything with yeast in it. He has only had a couple in the past two years vs at least 2 a week. May be worth a trial run, I don't know. I hope this helps out

I work with a guy that has suffered from migranes for about 30 years and has been to numerous doctors. The last one sugested that he keep track of everything he ate to try to narrow down what was causing the migranes. He did this for a few months and finally figured out that it was yeast also that was causing them. Hope this helps out.

My mom had a migraine that lasted over 2 years. She was hospitalized several times, saw numerous doctors, and took every pain killer you could imagine and nothing seemed to help. She finally had a doctor recommend placing a couple of electrodes in her neck. It looks much like a pacemaker under her skin with an external piece that both charges the internal batteries and turns the device on and off as needed. It immediately stopped the migraine when it was first turned on. She has had it now for about 3 years and for the most part she doesn't need to turn it on but when she feels a migraine starting she turns it on and it will usually stop it immediately. I don't know exactly what it is called but it was originally designed for people with intractable back pain.
When it is activated she can feel a mild tingling in her neck and she can adjust both the power and frequency that the device uses. There is no doubt in my mind that this device saved my moms life, she wouldn't have lasted 6 more months the way she was going at that time. Good luck and I hope this helps your wife.

Sounds strange, but I can stop them (before they start) by dunking my face is ice water. Hold my breath and leave it there till stinging sets in.
If other's migranes are like my occaisional ones, I can feel them with some pressure behind my eye before the pain really sets off. I saw or read this home cure somewhere and it does help for me. Do NOT do this if they are already in full blown pain mode....makes it worse, trust me.
Migranes are a tool of the devil....hate them. I just could not imagine having chronic / multiple issues like you are describing.

I have been having off and on headaches for about 9 years now. When I have a doozy one I can barely remember to breathe they are so intense. Fortunately for me they seem to come on for 3 months then off for 3 months so I do get some relief in between attacks. Ibuprofen does make mine feel better for a little while. I take 3 Ibuprofen every three hours. I have not yet been able to figure out what is causing mine but I do sympathize with your wife as I can relate to a small degree. Good luck.
