    Newb Questions

I have a few newbie questions about bows and so on. First question is what kind of sight would you recommend for a beginning shooter. What bow would you recommend for a beginner that will not break the bank. I live in Coleman county and is wondering if there is a good bow show with in 100 miles that wont treat you like an idiot when you go in and don't know jack. I have rifle hunted for a long time and understand the in's and out's of it, but there is something that intrigues me about bow hunting!! Thanks in advance

almost every company has entry level bows and or sister companies that do. ( i.e. mathews- mission) not sure your area but im sure someone in that area will chime in soon enough about archery shops in the area. when you find one, shoot every bow that you can afford. pick the one that fits you best. meaning, basically feels the most comfortable. as far as sights, there isnt really beginner ones. there are more expensive ones. but i would probably start you out with a minimal pin sight like a three pin or something. if you are just starting you should not me making any long shots for a long time (if ever imo) so you dont need a 5+ pin sight.

one thing you need to know is, people are very brand loyal. so there are a lot a great bows but you are about to get a lot of "chevy vs. ford" answers. just remember to shoot all of them and the bow will pick you.

There are a lot of good bows out there. It really comes down to how much you want to spend. You might want to look at a bow package that includes just about everything you need to get started shooting. A while back I bought my wife a Diamond Edge Ina package deal from Triple Edge Archery in Dayton for around $300.00 to$350.00 I can't remember exactly and it is a good setup.
