    Goodbye Plano, Hello Ft. Worth!

I just inked a lease to a town home at the Firestone Upper West Side in Downtown Ft. Worth. I am pretty excited about the move after spending a year in West Plano. The moves puts me waking distance to downtown FW, it puts me 35 minutes closer to Crawford, and it puts me an hour closer to the ERS for hunting. I am going to have to take a hit to move in a week early, but otherwise I would have to miss the WWA Dove Hunt in Mercedes.

Now I just need to find all the good places to grab a drink and eat in Ft. Worth. I am stoked.

No offense Heath , but you have to make stupid money to live in Plano, there are some parts of Plano that can make Highland Park look like the slums...you will enjoy your life better in FW and probably have a few extra dollars in your wallet

Thanks for the offer. They are giving me $200 in moving cost. That may turn into a bar tab for my buddies that help me move.

Plano will never be the same with Spuds McKenzie leaving the scene..

Good luck with it....we are thinking of movin' west or south of DFW as well. This Denton life adds another hour to my trips down south and my deer lease both ways...much like yours.

                  Welcome

Welcome to Cowtown! I remember when the Firestone Condos were a Firestone Tire store. There are some eateries and such just across the river in the old Montgomery Wards building complex.

Yep it's unbelievable how much downtown Fort Worth has changed since I moved here in '76. Especially after the tornado went through a few years ago.It took out most of the trees over 30 feet tall along White Settlement Rd and 7th street. I worked for several years near the Monkey Wards on 7th street. I play table tennis twice a week in Plano and Richardson and I'm afraid you will be "downgrading" in the hot honeys department though...Fort Worth is just not in the same league with the Dallas suburbs when it comes to hot women.Sorry, that's just my personal observation after years of extensive,hands-on research.
