Beans for feed ?

Has anyone ever used beans and peas in their spin feeders ? I have come across a deal where I can buy the ones that have hit the floor and cant be sold to the public. Think deer will eat them ?

We just started feeding split yellow peas from spin feeders. We have pics of deer eating it.

We just got a load of surplus peas at $10 for a 110 pound bag.

I would certainly use them. I've used cowpeas in my spin feeders and they love'em.

Try them and see. I can't think of any reason they wouldn't eat them.

I used soybeans once and they loved them...but they were too expensive to keep using.

Anything is healthier and better than corn...

I have used a mix of corn and blackeyed peas before. deer, and hogs, loved it

I use a 50/50 mis of dried peas and corn. It is usually black eyed peas but there is some other kinds of peas mixed in and the deer eat it up.

I have used cow peas (black eye) extensively. The deer love them BUT so do the Javies and hogs. When I used them in East TX, I had deer everywhere. when I used them in South TX, the deer couldnt get to the feeder. Have you ever seen 75 to 100 pigs and Javies at a single feeder? CRAZY!
