Need pro advice? Where should I put stands, plots, feeders? (Look at these Sat. Maps)

Where should I put stands, feeders and fall plots?

    The facts....
*The land marked in red is mine.

*The land marked in yellow I have permission to hunt. (noone else hunts it)

*The red circles are where houses are.

*The green spots are my summer plots.

*The land directly West of my red marked property is covered in deer. My buddy used to own it.

*The land on the East of my land and lease is covered in cattle and gets a lot of human activity.

*The land to the South of the lease part is oil co. land and has very little use.

*The land to the North of my place is an unknown.

*Deer are hitting my summer plots ocasionally, but not a lot.

You can right-click the pic, save it, open w/ paint, mark it and post it.

Getting ready to get started and want to do it the best possible to draw in the most deer.

    Thanks.

Oh yeah.....I live where the red dot is in the first pic.

How many acres am I looking at? It might help, but I'm no expert.

I'd hunt the north food plot in the red area, adjacent to cover, then I'd hunt the pipeline within the yellow area, again adjacent to cover.
Good luck on what ever you do.

Look for funnel areas and then position your stands accordingly. You'll see more deer hunting a funnel than a food source.

In the red there is 40 acres.
In the yellow is 70 acres.

Well i had a sweet paint of where i thought your stand and plots should go but im having problems with that, so my best advice would be plant your plots where the deer want to be, not where you want them to be. And fence crossings to food sources make great stand sites as do narrow parts in woods going out to a field.

That's been my experience too. I have killed my best bucks in funnel scenarios vs. food sources.

I am planning on putting in a fall plot or 2 and am at a loss for what place is the best. There are a LOT of does around here and I'm probably going to let my 12 Y/O nephew shoot 1 or 2 on my plot. I still have some time to figure it out, i was just wanting to see what the TBH crew thought.

well, I think the lower-left corner of the red square looks like a great place for a plot......except for my driveway being there. I see deer crossing there A LOT! My next choice is the clearing toward the upper-left of the red square........but I think it's too close to the house. So, I don't know.

Here's my non-pro advice with orange being stands and feeders and the blue being fall/winter plots - just looking at trails leading, water sources and forced entry points

He would be a decent spot or two

Not sure about fences, neighbors, distances...etc. Obviously you dont have the option of smack dab in the middle of the place. However I think those spots will catch deer going from feeding to bedding. All depends on the acorn crops. Look for the big trees in pics. Looks like there werent any established creeks or anything. FUnnels, fingers, points...places like that are good to start.

That lower square you pointed out looks like a good spot. I saw 3 bucks there recently, 2 looked to be potential PY candidates.

                              Thanks
