With all the talk about feral vs Russian vs wild hogs I got to wondering... If a 200lb {X} hog comes into the feeder and you put a good shot on it, is one 'easier' to kill than another of the same size? Whaddya think and why?
I agree with 30-30 on the tendency of having a thicker skin/plate on the Russians. Now here is something I have always believed. If the animal is spooky when it came in and jittery as opposed to relaxed and eating/fully belly it will split when you shoot. Also may jump the arrow (hogs not as much). Now I am sure theres nothing scientific about it and I have no proof other than the animals I have shot with a bow. So IF there is a tendency for one to be spookier than the other, it MIGHT play a factor.
You would need a better angle on a Russian than you would on a feral. In other words, start the shot further back with a steeper angle on a Russian boar.
