I've tryed em before....if its too dark to see my pins, its too dark to see my target....plus they rattler when there off (mine did) anyway......I put them right up there with that little bubble level that all sights come with now....gimmick! IMO

I have a team extreme with a purple light that shines on fibers at the back of the sight, sure is nice on low light situations.

I found that it's really hard to see past your pins with a light and can't see your target. Buy a tridium pin. They don't need batteries. They just glow

Thanks guys, I think i'll go with the Tritium sight pin. I had a Trijicon scope on my M4 and really liked it also.

IMO, the tritium pin is the only way to go. I have been using Tru-Glo sights for years, with the tritium pin. I just bought a new Tru-Glo sight the other day, and it came with a light. I won't even install it on the sight. I put a tritium on and am good to go. Anybody need a light? Seriously though, the tritium pin always seems to be the exact right brightness, at any hour.

I must have got a bad tritium pin because mine is not as bright as I would like.

I use the spot hogg sight light. It works very well, especially when hunting out of a ground blind when it is light enough outside to see your target, but too dark inside the blind to see your pins.
