First off, get your draw length measured if you dont already know it, then find a pro shop with plenty of brands to choose from, ask to shoot a few and choose which one works best for you, I refuse to get into a brand debate of which is best, nowdays they are all really close and will get the job done if you practice..

I'd steer clear of BPS as far as bow knowledge is concerned. Get yourself to a local archery shop. They can measure you up right and will have quality equipment in stock. Don't buy cheap, you'll have a harder time adjusting to it. A good shop ought to be able to put a broad selection of bows before you and give you an honest assessment of the pros and cons of each. They can also match the right arrow to your need (very, very important). If you don't know where to find a shop, look online at high-end products like 'Fuse Archer Products'. It will show every archery shop within 100 miles if you so choose. Remember, if the bow is cheap.......there's a reason for it. Good luck.
