What to do in St. Louis...

Looks like I will be spending a few days in St. Louis. I will be staying downtown so I am looking for places to eat and a few things to do. A Cardinals game is already scheduled.

I used to live in downtown at 10th and Washington. Just down the street there was a really cool Irish pub that I used o frequent. I forget the name, but it was around 7th and Main I believe.

Oh, and car burglaries are very common downtown, so empty your vehicle, I learned the hard way.

Go to Pappy's smokehouse! They have the best ribs I've ever tried. 3106 Olive St. It is about 2 miles down from Union Station. Speaking of Union Station there are very few shops there anymore. I'm not sure what happened. When I lived accross the river we used to go to Union Station every couple of weeks, but when I was there last week it was nearly emptied out. The St. Louis Zoo is very good and free admission.

I am open to stay anywhere. I was just going to stay downtown to avoid driving in to see the sights and the game.

And the astros will be there playing them next weekend.... Dont know when you'll be there.

Actually going to see the Cardinals vs Dodgers. Should be a good game.

The hotel at Union Station is awesome. Not cheap, but a very nice place to stay.

If you like flyfishing, go by Feather-Craft. It's a cool store.

Go up in the arch and check out the history, it will only take you an hour or less...but worth doing once.
