    Rangefinder tether?

What do you guys use to attach to your rangefinder for easy access? I could really use something for elk hunting besides just cramming it in a pocket and then struggling to get it out when it's time to range and shoot. Nikon makes a rangefinder tether that would be perfect but after trying it out at Cabela's it's way to noisy. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

I use the strap that came with mine, I just slip it around my neck and put the range finder in my right breast pocket out of the way. Any extra strap is easy to stuff into the pocket.

My Leopold came with a holster, I just keep it in that and it's out of the way and ready whenever I need it effortlessly

I bought the Nikon tether with retractable line, but it was too loud and I ended up taking it back. Like those above I just keep it around my neck in my pocket using the strap that came with it....or laying on the shelf in my box blind.

I got the Nikon tether also. I took camo moleskin and wrapped it all around the base or whatever the string goes into in an attempt to at least muffle the noise.

              It's still LOUD!

Nikon retractable tether sucks!! My Nikon Monarch RF pulls the cable out on its own. I guess it's too heavy.

I've been using the Crooked Horn Bino system with mine. Holds it close to your chest and is right there everytime

X3 but you need to have a rangefinder that fits in your pocket to do this.

I have the Leupold RXII and it came with the holster but I only use it from storage. When I'm actually hunting I put it around my neck and right arm so it's tucked under my right arm. I cut a length of duck decoy string long enough so when I wear it like this I can tuck it into my backpack waist belt(or pants or hold it in place with my arm if an animal is close) so it doesn't ever bang anything inadvertantly. I do this so it doesn't ever get in my bow string and I know exactly where it is and it's not flopping around. I did that once with a grunt call while deer hunting and dang near jerked myself out of the treestand. I dropped my bow, the grunt call exploded and went into orbit to parts unknown and I had a 6-7" rope hickey around my neck for a week.
