          Oz - yes, the base is burned pine. First time I have done this and was pleased with the result.

                    My buddy Catfish has some listed in the classifieds. I've never hunted over his dog but he's a great dude and you can take him at his word as far as what he says about his dogs.

                      Yeah, I like that look. I did mine on accident. I was meshing with a torch and burned some wood, saw how well the grain jumped out and decided to use it.
