I have columbias, on my 4th year no leaks. For early season lacrosse (cant remember exat name) lightweight pair, I actually wear the lacrosse deep into the season until the frigid weather hits.

I use chest waders. I haven't bought any new ones in 4 years and I prefer 3.5mm neoprene, boot foot, with the brush tough outer liner. The brand I have is a Ducks Unlimeted brand. Exaxtly which manufacture made them, I don't know. RedHead makes a good one this style. Either one is anywhere from $125 to $175. I tried stocking foot waders for a while but it seemed that they were too tight in the foot area and was restricting blood flow and made my feet colder. The stocking foot waders are a lot cheaper. Yes neoprene hot in the early season but I never did hunt much early season, mostly later. I haven't hunted in "elmer fudd" waders In a good while. I know RedBall used to make a good brand. Good luck!

Which ever you buy, purchase them from Cabelas. 100%, lifetime warranty, if they are not abused and ripped like on a barbed-wire fence. I do, and every 2 years when the pinholes invaribaly start in the crotch and knees, and they start to let me know I've been sweating in them for 2 seasons , I call them up, return them for a credit, and get a new pair.

After not wearing the fleece pants underneath before last season, they make a world of difference in comfort.

I have always bought the Cabelas "Brush Busters" and they are great. Very durable, little heavy but very durable.

For all but maybe the coldest of wether I wear these Cabelas Dry-Plus. To me, about 95% of the time it is just to **** hot to wear my neoprenes, plus you can always layer under these.
