? for iPhone 3GS users

I have created an account on iTunes successfully and downloaded several apps to my iPhone without a hitch.
I am trying to download an individual song I bought....I have hit a snag and it's driving me nuts. The song went to the iTunes screen, left hand column under Store/ Purchased. I can also find it in one of the Playlists....iTunesDJ. I have synced it several times with my iPhone and the iPhone shows it is getting it. But I can't find the song anywhere in my iPhone (and believe me I've looked) .....where does it go???

You can go into Itunes, click on the song to highlight it, and then just drag and drop it into whatever playlist you want it in.
