    Trail Camera Trouble Shooting

I was given an old wildview trail camera, I know most people consider these junk, but the price was right. I set the camera up in the house just to check it out and it seemed to work and take decent pics atleast for my purpose. So I set it out at one of my feeders for a trial run and yesterday when I picked it up it only had a couple pics on it, all of me setting the camera up or checking my feeder, also it took more pics of me when I was taking it down.
My question is what would cause it to triger when Im standing at the feeder but not when deer or hogs are there, if anyones got any experience with these let me know. Thanks,

I have found that I have to be real careful when setting them up and not get the beam (trigger mechinisim) to high. I try and keep mine about 24"-36" off the ground.

Do you think it would help to try and angle the camera downward torward the ground in the middle of the feeder, I had it set up facing straight forward probably 36" - 40" high.

Pointing down is not always a bad idea, but then your beams stops when it gets to the ground. So anything on the other side of the feeder will not trigger. I try and keep mine parrallel to the ground as much as possible, or with a very slight downward angle.
