I work in the credit industry so the text message I got I knew was bogus.
Got a text message about 11:30 am on the cell saying
FRM Sterling
MGS Sterling
Alert... unusual activity
Call 888-883 #$%^
The first thing is I do not have a sterling account.... But I could see how some people might fall for this.
So I decided to call from the office line to see... I was going to tell them I was going to report the phone call to the FBI
Called at 12:30 and the message on the line was from the FTC saying the number had been shut down because of fraud etc.... and the scammer were doing what is called FISHING..
So good job FTC.. on this one at least.
So if you get a text message liem the above please ignore....
