I will tell you what is crazy, not only is the fishing pressure on lakes in japan 10 fold what it is here, black bass are considered an invasive species in japan since they are not native, and any that are caught must be kept, catch and release there is illegal. Makes you wonder if fisheries biologist here in the states are rethinking their management practices, just think of all the work done here in texas (operation world record) to try to grow the next world record bass with the sharelunker program.

There is just something wrong with the world record black bass being from Japan.

Ironically, they are trying to eliminate black bass from the lake that this guy caught the record as "imported trash fish".

Yes no Joke and there is a video on it in you tube the kicker is that in order to beat the world record it must weight so many ounces past the previous record so it was a tie not a new one... the one in my picture was landed at Lake Fork this past June 9lb 12oz

WOW!! I would like to catch one like that. And you can bet people would hear me haller around the world. I'd bet there one like that at lake fork. I've hook'em but she broke me off ha ha!!
