My hands are tied with the advancement of the place.... its his toy.... it will never be anything but his past time. Its my career and if he keeps it small.... I will always be small. I have no desire to be part of something that doesent go forward.
Plus.... my wife of 25 years is probably the most unconfrontational person on the planet.... she will walk barefoot 10 miles through broken glass to avoid a confrontation.... Thursday night my boss texted me while I was asleep..... she read it and responded, letting him know who was responding....... I have been kinda sheltering her from his pompus-ness. The next morning when I read what he texted me and I read her response.... I knew I was short timing. I will lay it down this Friday.
Sorry it didnt work out like you hoped it would. I know you were really excited about the job when you first got it, too bad it hasnt panned out.
Thanks brother... its all good. I was looking for a job when I found this one. It was a nice change of pace but time to move on. Im still a Lieutenant in TDCJ, I will go back to the madness on Aug 5th
Have a neighbor that works for the railroad. Not the best place to work right now because they have laid off big time due to freight movement going way down with the recession. Neighbor had to relocate from California to Texas for work. Because he had more seniority than some of the locals they got laid instead of him. Not making a lot of friends here. His salary has been reduced by over half since he is working only in the rail yard and not making trips. Could be worse because a guy who followed him from California got laid off after he had bought a new house.
