Anderson County is rough, I lived out there for a while. If you just put an ATV out there you wont have to worie about the feeder.

Get a skid mounted one where everything is welded together. If they cant take it apart and throw it in there truck they will leave it be! Timer might go missing but feeder will stay, make sure of coarse they cant see it from a road!

We had 200 acres right in the middle of anderson Co. It was surrounded by Temple Inland pine land, they leased it out to TPW as Unit 21 or something like that. I swear my feeders and stands had legs and went walk about at night...

Giver a big hug, cause they may be gone by the time season rolls around or somebody may be in it...

How far are you from the property? Honestly, I have had more luck with deer in east Texas by hand broadcasting corn rather than using a feeder. If you can hit the place a couple times a week and put out a couple of bags, you'll be fine.

As far as feeders are concerned... You could do a hanging feeder and use thick cable to secure it with and then lock it. Might work...

I live in Dallas, so broadcasting a couple times a week is out. My Dad still lives on the property and we have really never had a problem. But, I just want to protect my stuff. Think I'll put my cheaper one out and see how it goes.

I wouldnt put a feeder wide out in the open, clear cut food plot areas. Easy access to the feeder means more chances of being stolen. Putting a hanging feeder in Creeks, creek bottoms, thick brush, deer trails might help. Ofcourse its gonna be harder for you to carry 2 bags of corn in but atleast you know it will be there.

Don't put your feeder where it can be easily seen. Thieves cannot resist the temptaion.

Don't buy one of the cheaper plastic feeders, the squirrels and rats will eat holes in them.

How close was the feeder on the pipeline to the property line? I would just put a stand right next to the fence on my side. Shooting across property lines is a big no no

Good luck, I'm on a 1000 acres south of Center, thieves stole my feeder and game camera one week after it was out. In the center of the property. If you can't watch it from your house window, they will find it. Like Travis said, if they don't steal it, they will destroy it.
