Does anyone know/have any land to hunt on around Waco? This is my first season to bowhunt and I would like to get some time in a stand before I hunt at Hagerman.

You can dove hunt and bow hunt all of the corp land around lake whitney. Its a free permit and you can hunt turkeys. ANyhting under #4 shot... Ive seen some nice bucks posted elsewhere off the land. I think its around 5000 acres....Comment

There is some Corps of Engineers land west of Waco. I think its called lake Waco. You need a Corps permit to hunt it. I have all the Corps property info at home I'll look it up and let you know what I find.Comment
