    Replacement windows

Wow, what a difference in the electric bill. We had been kicking around putting new windows in but have always put it off. We after a post on here I got hooked up with cj7zrcool (Jeff). He came out and gave us a bid and we got going on it. We just got our first bill that we would be able to compare with last years, June. Our June bill was $125 per month less. The a/c doesn't run near what it did in the past, last year that thing just hummed 24/7. The old windows if you stood in front of them you could feel the heat just glaring through it. The new windows, you can barely feel the the heat and that's during the mid-day sun.
If you're needing new windows get ahold of Jeff, he'll do you right not to mention the money you'll save.

Sounds like you got some great windows. Are they double pane, low-e?

I'm certain they are low e and think they are double pane. Jeff would know. He said this is what will work best for our situation. I needed his expert opinion as much as I needed new windows because I didn't know much about them. He sure knew more about them than the kids at HD and Lowes.

New windows are awesome. Mandatory upgrade for both houses we've lived in. Low e, double paned, argon filled, custom vinyl, etc. It's a chunk of change up front but you can definitely tell a difference in the electric bill and how quiet the house is afterwards. Makes the house look a LOT better too. Not to mention that it is a MAJOR PLUS when you go to sell it. You'll get all your money back and then some.

Congrats. And smart move using a pro instead of someone at HD or Lowe's. Not a place to skimp.
