How to shorten draw length on Mathews Feathermax

I bought a new bow and gonna give my son my old one. It is a Mathews Feathermax.

I believe the string is on the shortest anchor. He needs the drawlength shortened about an inch.

How would y'all recommend it be done? Can you get a module for that old of a bow?? Has anyone done this ??

I may just need to take it down to Archery Country and let Mike figure it out.

    thanx,

You would need a different cam, I believe.

I was thinking that...I wonder if you can even get them anymore. It is a pretty old bow. But, still a gooden.

If it is on the shortest post setting(decreasing poundage also), and it is still too long, you will have to get a cam that is correct. If the new cam is set on the longest setting, (which is how the bow should be spec'd), you will have full poundage.

#1 post is longest... #3 shortest..

If Mike doesn't have it and can't get it let me know I might can find one..

The Feathermax uses the Max Cam. It has three posts on each side of the string, #1,#2, & #3. If both ends of the string are on #1, the bow is at its longest drawlength. Move to post #2 to shorten by 1/2 inch. Move to post #3 to shorten draw 1 inch from the draw length of post #1. Maximum adjustment of 1 inch.
