    Fixed or mechanical......

I have always shot fixed broadheads(Muzzy 100 gr) and want to move over to a mechanical this year. I am looking for opinions on which mechanical to choose and the reason why. Help is appreciated.

In a mechanical the rage and spitfires have done me well! Theres a new spitfire out with a 1 3/4 cut. Im gonna try that one this year too.

I'm going to try the rage 2 blade this year, after all the success stories I have read.

Rage works well. My buddy uses the NAP Scorpion XP with very good success.

Use them RAGE 2 blades! You won't be sorry. I shot a TX Dall with them and he piled up after 8 yards. Blood trail that Stevie Wonder could've followed.

I have to agree with everybody here. Rage. The cutting abilities of this broadhead means no-lost game

Mechanical= Rage... spitfires are great too but I have had better blood trails with the rage 2 blade.

If your still thinking about using a fixed head take a look out the 5g striker mags…

Been using the Rage 3 blade for 2 years now I think. They have left great blood trails and the entrance hole is huge.

Thanks for all the replies....it appears that Rage broadheads have quite the following. Has to be a reason behind it.

Why do you want to change heads?

I'm a fan of Jak Hammer 125. Does Rage make a 125 grain head?

                            I don't think so boss.
I've only seen them in 100.

Good question. I guess I have never had any real reson to change but hear that you have a more true arrow flight shooting mechanical and a larger cutting surface as opposed to fixed.
