Thanks for all the support!
He did get to spend this morning's hunt chasing a water buffalo. They told him that this was the last one on the place and had grown smart and mean! He said that they did get close 3 times but know shot. I said that must have been exciting. He said, "It was scary as _ _ _ _!!" He's having fun and thats what counts. He will be after axis this evening. He said that the guides had found a good bunch of bucks.
He did say that Matt did kill a good axis this morning. I'm waiting on pics. I'm thrilled for him. All I can say is I would love to be chasing that buffalo around. He said he might get another chance in the morning. I will update this evenings hunt when he calls me tonight.

On a side note. I did get to meet Matt at dinner Sunday night. He was a nice guy and was signing autographs and taking photo's with all the youngsters that came up to our table. I thought that was pretty cool!

Rio is the coolest of the cool. As for Gwen Hughes I believe she and her sister are from Florida and not Matt's mom. Their father invented a hunting calculator called the "Poli-Wheel". It is a truly neet and accurate calculator that tells you when the major feed/movement times are. Gwen and her sister took over Rio Bonito after my old buddy Dirk ''Mountain Man" Ross and his brother Colt were killed in a plane crash pre-scouting elk in Colorado.

Well, just got the word. No Luck this evening. They saw a lot of axis does and fallow does. They did see one good axis buck but one horn had been broken off. Has one more shot at it in the morning. I've got my fingers crossed for him!
