Way to go Les and Bruce.

Les, did you get him at the windmill past the football field?

I'm hoping to head down for a couple hunts this week.

I will try to post one Ala-Tuthdoc-Style..... I had a bunch of axis come buy me this past weekend. Most were in the So-So Size range. Nothing really even pumped the heart rate except for one. Now I did not get them all on film as my camera is sitting out one window, and my blind gets circled by them at times.. Be a great setup for a 360 enclosed scent proof pit blind.... But anyway, here are a few that showed up in my camera window...

This guy was diggin my deer block...

This guy was a 800 yards away doing the Axis Texas two step tree rub... Did it 3 times in a row, then the bigger boy in the group did it in the same spot 3 times.... Anything you can do I can do better I guess...

Now this Guy I have seen a few times and had a good idea just how big he was.. So had I not seen him before, he might have gotten shot in this low light appearance.. He is a very nice looking deer, just not what I am looking for.

Now, with this already being a great weekend, me and Mark (trickyolgus) decided to make a feed run to fill up some feeders for next weekends Hunt. What this really means is Les and Bruce both had deer to clean and we wanted nothing to do with it... Kidding.. But Seriously, were not!!

While standing in the middle of the road at a feeder, this next creature crawled under a fence and walked right buy us... I am no exotic expert, and have guessed this to be the following, Sika Deer, Black falllow, Black Axis, Wierd Alien creature, or one of the prettiest things I have ever seen in the woods. His fur was so polished and his horn (4x4) just shined in the light.... Someone please chime in if they know what this is...

Cool Sika! That middle axis would have gotten a dirt nap.

                                Nice pics Mitch.
