Question for the TBH brain trust.

This morning while out hog hunting. I had a doe walk up behind my stand, we stared at each other for about 10 minutes with her doing what I have heard called alarm walking. Which is stepping with really high lifted legs. After a while she ran about 30 yards from my stand and crossed the creek and started blowing, she blew six to eight times before she bolted and blew about 4 more times at a dead run. My question is "Is she now gone for good or do you think she will come back in a few days?" I have seen her numerous times on my trail cam and have actually seen her one other morning early while hog hunting. In Wilson County you cant shoot doe's so its not a huge deal other than during the rut if you have doe's your more apt to have bucks come around. Man I hope I haven't screwed up and she's in the next county.

I've got one just like that. She has ended my hunt twice by running every other deer out of the area. She has always come back but is very skiddish around my stand. My father-in-law tags does like this "Lead Does" because they seem to be more alert than the others and protect them.

Bottom line, I would expect to see her again and if they ever lift the doe restrictions, she would be the first one I would take.

Had one like that at the stand I hunted last year. I FINALLY harvested the buck and later that morning my buddy gave her a dirt nap

Yep ,pesky lil rats. I pick em out then am determined to take her out before end of season. It can become quiet a game. Have even set up a dummy hunter decoy to use as a distraction. Worked more than once for me. She will be back and will be looking for You!

She'll be back, she'd probably be on most peoples hit list in legal counties.

If I was able, that would be my first kill of the season. Sounds like she is the head B in charge of the area. She will be back, and more than likely she will bust you again.....sounds like she knows you are there and will remember that you were.

We don't call them Lead Does, we call them Blowin' B%#@9es and they are HIGH on the hit list.

                Hello Calvin,
I am in Floresville and I help manage a small bowhunting ranch out of Poth. We are trying to pattern our deer now and I am counting the days till Oct. Hope to meet you sometime!

                  Gotta love them hot does!

Had 3 around my house for years that would let me almost pet them till I put on camo and climbed a tree. I laugh about it as they would find me long before any buck would. I considered them pets and it was fun using my climbing stand and trying to beat them. No challenge with a gun but with the bow these babes put the best to the test. Gotta love them biatchalos!

She will be back. I had one like that last year hung around behind the barn. I have one this year hanging around the tank, might be the same one. Neither deer had a fawn.

Deer stomp their hooves when nervous and can't figure out what is making them nervous. I've had several around my stand and they blew and ran away only to return about 30 minutes later around the feeder. My stand is only 100 yards from the feeder.

It's July, and a lot of things are gonna change before October.
                          Relax.
